I am fortunate to have found my biological family and am piecing together the lost identity, genealogy, etc., etc.. It’s something I feel very strongly about, and have for as long as I formed an opinion on the subject. Some cultures don’t allow adoption for all the reasons adoptees suffer throughout life (the feelings of stolen identity and genealogy, etc.). I salute them. It’s time to change things from the “Industry” that it has become, where you put aside the loss (Biological familys’ loss as well as adoptees’ loss) and make more effort to educate the Industry of Adoption, than to keep it secretive and shameful.
