Our mother(I’m his brother, Paul) was a Kane from the north of Ireland, and his father was descended from the Hamilton’s of County Clare, but originally of Scotland.

Jim organized a couple of trips to Ireland during he and a group of siblings, spouses and other relation met some of the Hamiltons descended from those who remained when our great great grandfather felt the need to flee following an interaction with British soldiers during a rebellion against the landlords in the Bodyke area.

Jim compiled an Ancestry account that includes more than 5,000 relation.

Smart, funny, and always upbeat with his leprechaun smile- though I don’t know if he was Irish. It was our joy to meet Jane some years ago at their house. 🥰
