II - What #bnation is...

1. #bnation is a registered channel on the XWorld IRC Channel Service and is intended to be a forum for discussing adoption related issues.

2. #bnation can and will be used for private, invite only chat sessions from time to time, these sessions may or may not be announced to the general Bastard Nation (BN) membership. All effort will be made to hold these chats at off hours to keep the channel available for membership use.

III - What #bnation is not...

1. #bnation is an unofficial channel for Bastard Nation and the views expressed on IRC are not necessarily the views of Bastard Nation, in part or in whole.

2. Any public notice of scheduled chats must have prior approval by the BN Executive Committee. Notice of chats on BEST do not constitute "public" notice.

IV - General Guidelines...

1. On #bnation, normal netiqutte rules apply. To the extent that #bnation is an open forum, deliberate demeaning statements can, and most likely will, be dealt with severely.

V - Rules written in stone...

1. Any and all XWorld Channel Service rules and regulations apply and will be enforced to the letter.

a. The IRC Channel Operator's FAQ can be found on the Web at http://www.xworld.org/users.html

b. This and other related FAQs and documentation is collected together at http://www.xworld.org/

VI - Dispute Resolution...

1. Disputes are resolved by the Channel Manager, Assistant Channel Manager and Channel Trusted Administrators, only.

VII - Tips and Suggestions...

1. Channel operators (those with @ before their handles) can be trusted to provide accurate information and the #bnation channel. Look to them to help first.

2. If you are new to the channel don't be surprised if people ask you a lot of questions or none at all. #bnation can get busy at times.

3. #bnation is not a search and reunion support channel. People in #bnation may be able to give you suggestions/feedback about your search or reunion, or deicison not to search, but this is not the purpose of the channel. Any exchange ofthe adoptee experience is welcome, as well as questions about Bastard Nation and its mission, which will be answered as much as possible.
