Let’s see…I see many government leaders asking for birth certificate to show when we vote. Get visas. Also enter our children into school. Get vaccinated and let’s not forget jobs. I know we go by the birth certificate we have. But we adopted people need medical records from our biological parents too. These viruses whomever is putting them out is also wanting to know what we have in regards to underling issues,

It’s bad enough that society and legislators pathologize us. Why must “advocates” do it also?!

In reply to Annette O’Connell. Thanks, Annette. I fail to understand how pathologizing Class Bastard restores rights. I was expecting somebody to bring up ax murders and Christmas morning porch pissers next. This testimony and this campaign have been a disgrace and embarrassment to the real adoptee rights movement. They wanted to go it alone,and now they've mucked it all up for not only Arizona adoptees, but the rest of us. This doesn't even reach Benedict Bastard standards.

Yep. The lead advocate also testified that adoptees are “a marginalized group of people prone to fear of rejection above all else.” Then went on to say that “adoptees successfully complete suicide at a rate 4x higher than the general population.” She continued to make her point that maybe those rates would decrease if we could, you know, get our AED err… OBC. Sorry! I always get confused on what it is since it is, apparently, a life saver. My bad. Anywho..of course, we know that isn’t true and does nothing but pathologize us. I didn’t realize I wasn’t part of the general population. But, hey, why not just throw some random, untrue alternative facts out there at some legislators, right? That oughtta help. Personally, my fear of spiders is WAYYY more paralyzing than a fear of rejection. Maybe it’s just me; I dunno. #SemanticsMatter
