Adult adoptee access to their own OBCs:  Only if the other party specifically gives permission

Adult adoptee access tp other identification information about their natural parents: Only if the other party specifically gives permission  Sections 13 and 18

Disclosure Vetoes:  Implied (Section 18)

Contact Preferences or Contact Vetoes:  Veto legally binding with penalties for violations Contact preferences not legally binding: Available to natural parents who previously signed a no-contact request pursuant to the Children and Family Services Act (Section 19(2)

Passive registry: Available to an adult adoptee , a minor adoptee, with written consent from an adoptive parent a birth parent an adoptive parent or other relative of the adopted person, with written consent of the adopted person a birth sibling or other relative of a birth parent, with written consent of the birth parent…with exceptions for consent if the person is deceased (Sections 9 and 10)

Active Registry: Available to:an adult adoptee,a natural parent, a natural sibling or other natural relative, with written consent or proof of death of the natural parent. an adoptive parent or other relative of an adopted person with proof of their death (Section 19)
