Please join us in celebrating the life and life-changing adoptee justice activism of Bastard Goddess Mari Tatlow Steed. The event will take place on November 9, 2024 in Philadelphia. You can join us in person or by remote.
Mari’s family is collecting pictures and written, and pre-recorded/video remembrances. I am trying to figure out how we can make a Bastard Nation group video, and will let you know in a day or so if we can work it out, and how you can participate. Otherwise, please send your remembrances to Mari’s daughter Jessica Steed at Jessica.Steed5@gmail.com.
Bastard Nation is also collecting remembrances, photos, and other material for a permanent BN memorial page for Our Mari. The first version will be up shortly. You can send us something at bastardnation3@gmail.com, post it on our Facebook page for inclusion, or write comments on the memorial page.
Below is the invitation and the link to the celebration of life. Please scroll to the bottom of the linked invitation to sign on.

Special emphasis on the celebration; we’re looking for bright colors, happy memories, hilarious stories and a night worthy of the woman we all loved.
If you are unable to attend, the details regarding a live stream of the event will follow.
Street parking available as well as a Septa parking lot down the street
In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations towards the fund to bring Mari and her mother Josie’s ashes back to Ireland
See you there!
