I am interested in getting my original birth certificate.Born in 1957 in Jacksonville,Fl.Adopted in Georgia, not sure which state I need to petition? Adoption in 1958. Uh
Stanley – It gets complicated when there are two different states involved that have restricted access. We have a bill active in GA right now though that would give all adoptees 18 and older the right to obtain their birth certificate. Contact info@gaallianceforadopteerights.org for more info.
