Age of access: 19 years
Adult adoptee access to original full name: Conditional – subject to reunion, or if natural parents cannot be located in an active search within one year
Adult adoptee access to their OBC in full: Conditional – subject to reunion, or if natural parents cannot be located in an active search within one year
Adult adoptee access to other identifying information about their natural parents: Conditional – Only after reunion, or if natural parents cannot be located in an active search within one year.
Disclosure Vetoes: Implied for a period of one year, in which an active search is started, after which, if the person cannot be located, the records will be released,
Contact Preferences or Contact Vetoes: NA
Passive registry: Available
Active registry: Available to a natural parent of an adult adoptee/ Required before identifying information is given to the other person in order to allow them a chance to file a veto. Section 35 (583.7 and 583.8)
