Identifying information released via a burdensome mutual consent registry. Even if matched on the registry, the applicant must participate in counseling for not less than 1 hour with a social worker or mental health professional with expertise in postadoption counseling before the release of information. In addition even though already registered, when a match is made, the parties are all contacted again and required to sign affirmative consents and participate in counseling before information is released.
