Stories From The Triad
When I first discovered the World Wide Web, it was still a mass of indexes and links to facts and resources. While these pages were useful, I felt that the web was this cold medium. I imagined the web could be a forum where people from all walks of life could share their stories with the world with the hope that we could touch and educate the world. These stories reflect many of the feelings experienced when you become an adoptive parent, adoptee, or a birthparent. To those not touched by adoption, these relationships and the issues surrounding them are rarely given much examination. Those touched by adoption struggle to understand who they are and who the other sides are, and what they are going through. These stories attempt to reach out and illuminate each sides hopes and fears.
Currently, the debate over open records has become part of mainstream news and lawmakers are considering laws that will determine the rights of the members of this triad. It is hoped that these testimonies and those to come will offer more clarity and understanding. Adoptive Parents |
