- Those adopted before September 1, 1937, should be able to access OBCs and court records
- Those adopted after September 1, 1937, can only access through a court order
WDC recently modified its vital records law and now birth records (of the non-adopted) are not public for 125 years (up from 100) and death records 75 years (up from 50). We will be following up on this.
Through a special arrangement with the Adoptee Rights Law Center, Bastard Nation is linking our individual state pages to ARLC state access law links and summaries.
