I am 76 years old, adopted and virtually no info.i hope this bill passes for my sake and my children and grand children.i had dna chechs but they were inconclusive.
I found my birth mother and her family ,new York state changed its adoption laws.i met my cousins and talked to a sister in florida.my mother was from Hornell ny.her name was eileen mae wheeler.i got a lot of info from find a grave website.a real eye opener after 78 years.i have no idea who my father was.i did dna tests but they were vague.
Thanks so much for sharing your story with me. I am so happy for you. 78 years is a long and ridiculous time to wait to know where you came from and the information that belongs to you. Congratulations!
