Distribute Freely
Nova Scotia is one of two Canadian provinces that still maintain a totally sealed records system. No province is totally unrestricted.. The NS Assembly will soon be considering changing its access law .
The Child, Youth and Family Supports, Head Office in Halifax is asking for public input on a new bill through public meetings (already taken place) and a public 10-15 minute online survey. It is submitted anonymously and not limited to Nova Scotians or Canadians. Although it appears that legislation will include some kind of restriction, this is a great opportunity for us to help our Canadian sisters and brothers in bastardy to set the record straight. and unsealed. Tell the Assembly that restrictions are not acceptable. Leave no one behind.
